A bit of background; I've been making documentary films for over twenty years, as a director and producer. Prior to documentaries, I worked as a location manager in the drama side of the business. But real people and their fascinating lives, is what attracted me to a more enjoyable form of story telling. Since the late 90's, I've made arts, human-interest, political, social and sports documentaries for Irish and International audiences. Some have even won awards and travelled the world. I've been lucky enough to work with very talented crews and meet inspirational people who trusted us and let us into their lives. Up until 2019, I was co-owner of Wildfire Films but recently set up my own company, Curious Dog Films. Exciting times.

Writer and journalist Paul Kimmage on the making of ROUGH RIDER - 24 July 2014:
Adrian was a curiosity, he seemed a little dopey at first, a Basset Hound that ambles across, sniffs your leg and doesn't seem bothered. Later I would understand.
The camera was just a decoy. He was weighing me up and working the angles. Is there a story here and how do we make this work?
